The Premier Acoustic Speaker System is reviewed as breathtaking,
no make that stunning! The review states, "The
testing results were so spectacular. They reproduced with the kind
of depth and velvety texture that goes beyond even the live concert
experience." On the multichannel SACDs the sound field in which
I was immersed was seamless in all 360 degrees. More than any Home
Theater surround setups I have ever heard in stores.

Powered Subwoofers are designed to bring out the low end bass
response found in DVD movies or music. Huge explosions, dinosaurs walking
or just bass guitar and drums, the PA-120 SUB is designed to reproduce these
sounds perfectly. The alignment of a large 12" polygraphite woofer, Bottom
port design and a built in 650 watt amp makes this sub
fill any room with powerful clear bass. We have given you even more control
over the way you tune your subwoofer. An adjustable crossover to custom set the
frequency response, a volume control to set the output and an auto on/off
switch to power on the PA- 120 SUB as soon as that bass hits your sound
track. All these features make the PA-120 Sub one of the strongest powered
subwoofers on the market today.
It is available in two stunning colors black or cherry.

| Reviewed by: Gary H. | 6/7/2006 | I have this sub in the bookshelf system. This sub rocks. It puts out more bass than the polk I have that I paid $600.00 for. i do not know how they can sell it for this price, any other sub would be double the price. Excellent unit at a unbelievable price. | Rating: * * * * * | | Reviewed by: Kevin | 6/16/2006 | I purchased klipsch speakers from Eric at Sound Distributors. The reference line RB-35, RC-35, I also wanted the RW12. They did not have access to that model but showed me the PA12 Sub. He talked me into matching this sub with the Klipsch speakers. Perfect. Not boomy which i was worried about. Clear tight bass, many controls to adjust the sub exaclty the way you want it to sound. Oh by the way saved me about 175.00 as well. | Rating: * * * * * | | Reviewed by: Jon | 6/30/2006 | The PA-6F Tower Speaker link in broken so I'm using this functional space to encourage you to BUY the 40" Towers!
Great speakers with outstanding fit and finish. The cherry is real wood not vinyl or veneer. The sound is sweeter than apple pie -- without the calories!. Excellent value.
You WILL NOT be disappointed. Period! | Rating: * * * * * | | Reviewed by: Tim | 4/10/2008 | I bought the PA-8F system and added an additional set of the PA-8S surrounds to go 7.1. I came off a system that included TWO DBX 15" passive subs. I like my bass. I was expecting to be somewhat disappointed with the 12 powered sub. STUNNED! This sub REALLY does the job! The port fires DOWN, which make the room/floor/furniture/ceiling shake. I really don't believe in 'break in' times for speakers, but went easy for the first 30 days. I've owned the system/sub for over two months and since the 30 day break in, have HAMMERED this sub. I wanted to see if it would get hot, distort, beg for mercy. Not ONE problem. Hell, the heat sink barely gets WARM, and I like it LOUD. Want to test it? Drop in the 3rd episode of LOTR during the battle scene. You'll see furniture shift, lol. Buy any DIGITAL cd with pipe organ. You'll barely hear the deep tones, but the floor will shake. I'm TRULEY amazed, especially for the price. I've spent MUCH, MUCH more and not gotten this kind of quality. I have friends that have spent the limit on Ve**dy*e subs and won't let their wives hear this system for fear of losing the "honey money".

I ordered mine from Sound Distributors. I ordered outside of business hours on a weekend and received a tracking number on a Sunday! WOW. My item was promptly shipped on Monday and I received it late that same week. I emailed sound distributors with a couple of post sell questions and Eric always answered my emails within an hour or two. Their response times are way better than any other online retailer I've delta with.
Price / Value
ny
-----------------
For $258 dollars shipped this is an excellent deal. If this had any of the big names on the speaker it would probably cost several hundred more. With performance and quality like this it is only a matter of time before Premier Acoustics is one of those names.
Build Quality
ny
-----------------
This thing is well built. The finish on it is nicer than anything I've seen at an HH Gregg or Best Buy. My wife is very pleased with it. I went with the Cherry finish and it matches our entertainment center perfectly. It has some serious weight to it also. A lot of speakers in this price range are in the 25-30 pound range and ugly. The piano black plastic on top and bottom give it an elegant high end look.
Performance and Sound
ny
-----------------
This subwoofer is amazing. It is not muddy or punchy. It is perfect in every way. My wife who really enjoys movies hasn't said the dreaded phrase, "Turn that down". She loves it too. My favorite test scene so far has been the intro to the first Lord of the Rings (around the 3 minute 30 second mark). When the guys ring finger is cut off and it falls to the ground you hear a definitive thud. Sounds like the ring weighs 2 tons. Then when the guy explodes it is jaw dropping. The low frequency sweep is unreal. I have been missing a good sub from my setup and the search stops here.
Conclusion
ny
-----------------
I couldn't be happier. The quality (both sound and build) far exceed anything else in this price range. If you are considering getting an entry level sub for 100-150 dollars do yourself a favor and step up to this. It has very few competitors in the "under 300 dollar" range. You have to spend some serious money to get beyond this performance level.
